Sweet words from my sweet guy....
Heard in the car yesterday:
E: Mommy, can you turn down the music for a minute...
Mom: Okay honey, why??
E: I'm trying to hear God's voice.
Mom: (turns down the music)
E: (after a minute or so) Okay Mom, I'm done. You can turn the music back up.
Mom: Did you hear him?
E: Yep!!
Mom: What did He say?
E: He said, "Son, I love you" (said in a really deep voice)
Mom: Wow!! (wiping away tears)
So simple and so sweet.... why do we always make it so complicated??

My I-Did List...
I have never really been a fan of To-Do lists. I understand their purpose and I appreciate the fact that they can help you to organize your day, however I have always felt a bit stifled by a daily To-Do list.
I have decided that instead of creating a daily To-Do list, I am creating a daily I-Did list. It is so much more fun and productive to chronicle what I've done daily rather than struggle with a huge list of items I have yet to do.
I still have a running tally of important items that I must attend to in the near future, but instead of delegating a certain number to be done each day I simply continue working hard each day and revel in the great job I've done with the items I have completed.
There is something freeing about looking at life in the sense of accomplishment rather than dwell in a large list of unfinished projects. It has truly changed my attitude about the work that I do and the house that I keep. So- here's to freedom!! Go make your I-Did list for the day!! :-)
